The Indian Air Force carried out Air-strikes on the biggest training camp of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terror group in Pakistan. In an operation which happened around 3:30 AM this morning, the aircraft dropped 1,000 kg laser-guided bombs on a terrorist camp of Balakot across the Line of Control (LoC).
The laser guided bombs are built with Israeli technology and were first used in Kargil. The air strike happened around 3.30 am causing 200-300 casualties.
This attack was a equally strong reply to the deadly Pulwama attack which caused the death of 47 CRPF officers. This operation was carried out two weeks after the Pulwana attack, when Jaish-e-Mohammed suicide bomber Adil Ahmed Dar rammed the vehicle filled with explosives into the bus carrying CRPF jawans.
JeM had claimed responsibility for the Pulwama attacks and it was necessary to give them an preemptive answer.
